BUSINESS LISTINGS:

We focus on London, Ontario and the surrounding area. Our advertising is local. If you are within our geographical area, THE OASIS business listings can expand your advertising for a very reasonable rate.

For dancers who teach private lessons, perform (bellygrams, weddings, shows), do restaurant work, vend, publish, etc., the business listing puts you on our Dance Directory for publication on our website and in our Newsletter and for phone line inquiries.

The Guild is not an agent. We don't book shows, etc.. Your information is given out as part of our lists. Customers may call whomever they choose from the list given.

A contract must be signed in order to take part in THE OASIS Business List.

If interested in subscribing, please contact us & request the Contract Package. It will be sent (email or land mail) for you to fill out as you decide.

The following guidelines are set up to administer THE OASIS communications network. Current Network (as of July '01) includes following 'communications elements': THE OASIS Phone Line, the e-mail address and the website, The Oasis Newsletter and print media only as directed by THE OASIS, M.E.D.G.. Future additions or deletions to the Communications Network will fall under these same guidelines. The ComNet is deemed operational as long as at least one of the communications elements is functioning.

THE OASIS will monitor the communications network daily .
We will maintain our advertising and promotion as long as at least one of our communication elements is up & running.
A contract must be signed and fees paid in order to be listed in the Directory. Contract is for a minimum of 6 months. Contractors must fill out the information form provided with the contract and must submit it with their contract fee. We will not include your name in the Directory until the information and fee is received and processed. (no refunds given for early termination of contract unless by mutual consent of both parties).
The Oasis, M.E.D.G. does not endorse any one class or instructor/vender/entertainer that is listed through THE OASIS Communications Network. Listings are for informational purposes only.
Home phone numbers of C/N contractors will be given out as stated by THE OASIS. We do not recommend private phone number use on the website and will use The Oasis phone number as a general contact number on-line. The Oasis will list personal numbers on line only as otherwise directed in writing by a contractor. THE OASIS assumes no liability for any problems that occur with such usage of personal numbers.
OASIS Monitors will carry out only basic screening of calls/messages to mitigate potential problems. Set up of business details is the responsibility of the caller and the dancer.

THE ARABIAN OASIS DANCE REVUE:

THE OASIS has a dance troupe known as THE ARABIAN OASIS DANCERS. When up and running the troupe has regular rehearsals for booked shows, demonstrations and OASIS sponsored events. Troupe members should consider becoming a Guild Associate. Troupe dancers must be committed to attending regular rehearsals and performing at gigs. From time to time, registered dancers from the Review (i.e. from the Dancer List) may join the Troupe for shows, rehearsals, etc.

The dance revue is an umbrella dance company that changes personal with each performance. Solo dancers or troupes not affiliated with the Guild may perform with the dance company along with our registered dancers* and the Troupe. The ARABIAN OASIS DANCE REVUE produces variety style haflas and larger production shows. Dancers/performers are invited to participate in our shows. THE OASIS will on occasion send out a open call for dancers.

*THE OASIS 'DANCER LIST' is where you can register your name. When a show is planned the performers are taken from our dancer list. Being on the list does not guarantee that you will perform at every show but will guarantee you at least one performance a year. The Dancer List is open to all levels of MEDancers. Registration is simple, contact us and say "I want to dance!". We'll send you the registration form to fill out and voila you are part of the company.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN OCCASIONAL DANCE, the AOD REVUE (i.e. Dancer List) is for you.

THE OASIS plans two scheduled Haflas each year (Spring & Fall) as well as workshops, promotional work and stage productions as time permits. The AOD REVUE is open to all levels of dancers from students to professionals. We are not solely restricted to MEDance but will give preference to that style.
